Your music degree means something thanks to the thousands of Mountaineers who have gone before you. We are glad to have you join us and wait to see the great things you do performing, teaching, composing or whatever road you take. The bad memories of school will soften over time and the fond memories of days in Morgantown will grow. When asked your alma mater, answer with pride - WVU! in the professional world.  Be it teaching, playing, or continuing your studies the next stage of your career is about to begin—hold on tight!

The Music Alumni Association is your link back to the Division, your

professors and fellow music alums.  To keep you informed we publish two full issues of this newsletter, Con Moto.  Our new virtual home on the internet at www.wvumaa.org is now up with info, class notes, concert dates and soon pictures from the Division.  We communicate monthly with our members by email news updates. And occasionally we find a reason to have a party—like our yearly reception at the West Virginia Music Educators State

In return we ask you to do two things:  1) Send us your mailing and email address once you get settled.  We don’t want to loose our newest members.  2) Let us know what you are doing so we can post your news on the Class Notes section of the website.  There is an address update form in this packet, or you can

email our president Chuck Kerzak at ckerzak@hotmail.com or John Hendricks in the Division of Music at john.hendricks@mail.wvu.edu.

Good luck in all your endeavors and we look forward to hearing of your good deeds and successes!

brass juries to get a level seven (in my last semester).  Now you are done, and it feels like the finale of a long symphony, but look again.  Now you have with a jacked up Dr. to move (again) get a real job, practice your trade, act like a grown up (a little).  Reality check - its just the end of your overture and act 1 is about to
